Max Herman is a renowned composer, music producer, and artist from Cambridge, United Kingdom. He has established himself as a distinguished music producer, composer, and songwriter, and has been nominated for 11 awards and won 4 awards for his work in music for film, including 2 Grammy nominations while acting as assistant composer to Hans Zimmer, Lorne Balfe and Rupert Gregson Williams.
His passion for music began in his youth when his father, a violinist, introduced him to music. Max focused on the piano and composition from an early age, and he remembers being truly inspired by his mother's piano playing. As a student, he moved to London and attended Westminster University. During his time in London, The Royal College of Music invited Herman to compose and have his music performed by opera singers and instrumentalists at the Britten Theatre in Kensington, London.
Max's illustrious music career spans over a decade and has seen him collaborate with a range of notable artists across different genres, including classical, soul, R&B, trip-hop, down-tempo, pop, and electronica. X factor winner Hamza Hawsawi collaborated with Max for his acclaimed song "Love a Little." The song's cinematic sound and emotional depth captured the hearts of listeners worldwide, becoming a viral sensation and earning critical acclaim and millions of streams worldwide.
Max's music compositions are sweeping and cinematic, focusing on storytelling and emotional depth. His 2019 composition "Unbroken" featuring harpist Tom Moth of Florence and The Machine, cellist Gillian Wood, and bassist Drew Campbell, has received more than 1 million streams on Spotify and other platforms.
Max's music career began in the early 2000s when he composed the score for the movie "Zoltan The Great", directed by SuperRocketMan. He then went on to work on soundtracks for major movies such as "Batman Begins," "Over The Hedge," and "The Da Vinci Code," recording at Air Studios and Abbey Road Studios in London. During this time, he had the opportunity to collaborate with renowned composers Rupert Gregson-Williams and Hans Zimmer, who mentored him.
Max's music has also been featured in significant events, such as the 2011 AFC Championship in Qatar, where he released "Yalla Asia," the official theme that reached an audience of over 500 million people in 23 countries.
In 2014, Max composed and produced the music for the Grand Opening Ceremony of the King Abdullah Sports City, nicknamed the "Shining Jewel" in Saudi Arabia. The ceremony lasted an hour and a half and ended with one of the world's most extravagant firework displays. More than 84,115 diverse fans filled the stadium, over occupying the stadium's capacity of 62,241. It was considered to be one of the greatest sporting events in the history of Saudi Arabia.
Max's ability to collaborate with artists from different genres has led him to work with major brands and movie studios. In 2016, Adidas Y3 Yohji Yamamoto commissioned his piece "Nuclear Fission" for the Y-3 SPORT | The Future of Sportswear A/W16 Campaign. The campaign was released globally.
Max collaborates with composer Walter Mair to produce music most recently for the score of feature film "Three Way Junction," which was recorded by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios.
Max has contributed his music to various charitable organisations. He composed the music for "The Hunting Moon," an internet viral used for fundraising for Malaria No More and The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The video was directed by Robert Samuels. In addition, Virgin media and the UK-based charity Help Harry Help Others enlisted Max to compose "Harry's Theme," a tribute to the inspiring story of young Harry Moseley and his charity work. As a result, the charity has raised over £650,000 for brain cancer research.

Y-3 SPORT continues to push the boundaries of highly functional sportswear with its latest ninja-inspired collection. Filmed on location on the remote Scottish Isle of Skye the campaign film tracks an ever multiplying algorithm of geotracking human bodies charting the landscape. The campaign was commissioned by Adidas with original music composed by Max Herman.

For this truly monumental inauguration Max Herman composed the original music. The show was broadcasted to 200 + million people across the world and 84K+ diverse fans filled the stadium.
The huge Fireworks display from The King Abdullah Sports City Opening Ceremony, Saudi Arabia. Max Herman composed the music first to which the fireworks/show were collaborated to.
Max Herman was commissioned by Yaseen Belorf to produce and co-write the theme song “Yalla Asia” for “The Asian Football Confederation” hosted in Qatar with 47 member countries, the song was a huge success and became an international hit. The song featured artists Jay Sean, Karl Wolf, Radhika Numerous international footballers and sport celebrities as well. The song was co-witten and produced by Max Herman and was the first commercially released international record out of the Middle East.
Hyundai has a deep passion for football and as well as sponsoring the UEFA Euros™ they also sponsor Street Football World and Street League UK, a charity specialising in transforming the lives of disadvantaged young people and engaging them in structured football and education programmes with a view to getting the participants into work, mainstream education or training. With a visit of England and Liverpool Striker Daniel Sturridge to Street League UK to present a cheque and offer advice and encouragement to the players, Hyundai invited Max Herman to composed the music alongside Street Poet “Polar Bear” - Directed by Robert Samuels.

The trailer for the horror film 'The Hunting Moon,' or is it a film trailer? The Hunting Moon is actually a viral campaign to raise awareness for the charity Malaria No More UK. Malaria is the foremost global killer, killing over 2000 people every day and causing more deaths than any other illness in history. Directed by Robert Samuels. Max Herman composed the score.
This is the amazing story of Harry Moseley and how he started Help Harry Help Others www.helpharryhelpothers.org.uk. Max composed Harrys Theme and was the score was performed at the charity gala. The charity went on to raise over £650,000 for brain cancer research.
